~ Pilgrim's Journey ~

Have you noticed that life has it's ups and downs,
That sometimes it feels like you're losing ground,
And just when you think you can't take any more,
You hear the Lion's roar?

Have you been in the darkness, feeling lost and alone,
Consumed by the stillness, and darkness shown,
Then you notice a softness, or hear a small Voice,
And you know you must make a choice?

Do you follow the darkness and let your fears rise,
Embrace thoughts of aloneness and listen to lies,
Or let your heart hold to a sudden hope,
That comes as a rescue rope?

The afflictions are many along this path,
Dangers and troubles from birth to death,
But Joy overflowing and love untold,
Are also there to unfold.

To my simple mind it's easy to see,
My Maker knows who He wants me to be,
Like silver and gold, in the fire I'm tried,
But He's always close by my side.

Yes, life has it's ups and it's downs,
There are many laughs and many frowns,
But it all has a purpose and that's the big key,
To enjoy exactly who He wants me to be.
