Never a dull moment around here, and my return to school has once again upset the apple cart, so to speak. As much as I tried to warn my Son (20) and daughter phsbum (16) of the changes that might occur when I returned to school, needless to say, this has been a week of adjustments for us all.
The dog, April, got my attention quickly enough, and the necessary adjustments have been made to make sure she is given ample opportunities to relieve herself and get some exercise before we are all out for the evening. I think she is managing the adjustment.
I just have to realize that I now have much less free time than I wish for writing in my blogs! I'll be around, but not quite as often as before school started. I'm sure you'll hardly notice!
I have to say, however, that I am thoroughly enjoying school. Ironically, my least favorite class is Foundations of Education, not because of the subject matter, but because it being taught by a certified elementary teacher, and her mannerisms and technique are such. It is kinda funny, but ... perserverence is the name of the game.
The 6 of us in the dramatic lit class, have read Waiting for Godot and A Doll's House, and are now actually writing a play in class. Great fun! It has been pointed out quite affectively that drama is all around us. Duh!
But ... back to our adjustments. I have to say that I am terribly proud of my kids. We have certainly had our share of financial issues over the past few years but none that touched them as much as this move. Although they agreed to help with household bills while I was in school, it hit home this week when I had to ask for the money to pay a couple of bills. Hard for me, and hard for them, but ... it's done... for now. A small sacrifice on their part in reality, but my hope is that it might help them get a few things into perspecitive on the inner workings of a family.
Thank You, Lord, for helping us each adjust ... and for all the wonderful opportunities that await each of us.
Homework time ... 9 am I'm late! lol later kids!
