Trust

From attempts made often and still without fail,

From knowledge or wisdom, words spoken true,

Transparency to wit or respect given due.

Trust can be a brittle thing, between you and me,

Slowly shaped shingles built shadow-free, 

Allowing for errors, yet sincerity prevails,

Or Trust breaks, shatters, leaving messy entrails.

It's not just in words, but actions speak true,

Because they bring your heart into view,

One mis-colored deed is easily repealed,

Against the backdrop of good intentions revealed.

But deception practiced as a blueprint o'er time,

Will rust and decay a foundation sublime;

Take care in construction and be wholly true,

And trust will be faithful and kind to you.
